Musical Afternoon and Tea Dance

On the occasion of the International Day of Older Persons, the 60×60 association welcomes Flamenco Nómada for a convivial afternoon dedicated to dance, music, and sharing.

The public will discover Indian dance demonstrations with Fanny Meera and flamenco with Antonio Perujo, accompanied by Dorin Kalanyos and his musicians. Everyone will then be invited to take part in the tea dance and share a few dance steps. A goûter will be provided by the 60×60 association.

  • A kathak dancer and guardian of the ancient Banaras Gharana tradition, Meera has been training since the age of 12 under the direct guidance of her guru, Pt. Ravi Shankar Mishra. Her career is distinguished by a remarkable fluidity in weaving together the complex rhythms and grace of this art form.

    Dividing her time between India and Europe since 2006, she currently resides in Varanasi, immersed in a traditional family of musicians and artists. She is a sought-after performer at prestigious festivals across India (such as the Sankat Mochan Sangeet Samaroh and the Taj Mahotsav).

    In Switzerland, where she returns every year and collaborates with local musicians through her association Nateshwar, she spearheads notable projects such as the Indian Summer in Geneva festival and educational productions like Krishna-Leela.

  • Flamenco Nómada - Artistas - Antonio Perujo

    Antonio Perujo, born in Lausanne, is a Swiss flamenco dancer and choreographer. He began his training in flamenco and Spanish classical dance at a young age before fully dedicating himself to flamenco. He founded Flamenco Dance Academies in Lausanne and Geneva, where he has trained many dancers, and created several successful shows such as “Minotauro,” “Passion Flamenca,” and “Sigue mi Compás.”

    In 2004, he focused on creating the Geneva International Flamenco Festival. Today, he directs his flamenco studio in Bern and teaches throughout Switzerland and Europe. He is the only teacher in Switzerland to cover all flamenco dance disciplines. Antonio Perujo also created a triptych of shows titled “Negro,” “Rojo,” and “Blanco,” exploring different dimensions of the art. Currently, he is dedicated to organizing a new event, the Berner Flamenco Festival in Bern.
