What is Flamenco Nómada?
At the heart of Geneva, Switzerland, the Flamenco Nómada Festival takes place. This event transcends borders, carrying the essence of flamenco into new horizons. It is not merely a tribute to the flamenco art form, but a celebration of its ability to connect cultures and touch audiences worldwide.
For five days, the city of Geneva transforms into a vibrant stage filled with performances, workshops, artistic meetings, screenings, and exhibitions. Every corner of the city is imbued with the magic and duende of flamenco, creating a unique and immersive atmosphere.
Behind this wonderful project are Marina Jiménez, a flamenco enthusiast, and a dedicated team that works tirelessly to bring the purest and highest quality flamenco to Switzerland. Their love for music and their homeland drives them to create a space where art and creativity can flourish without limits. In its editions, the festival has featured renowned artists in the flamenco and flamenco-jazz scene, including Jorge Pardo, Karen Lugo, Piculabe, Chicuelo, Nasrine Rahmani, Enriquito, Josemi Carmona, Karime Amaya or Antonio Serrano, and many others.
Flamenco Nómada offers not only an artistic experience but also an opportunity to learn and immerse oneself in flamenco culture. The workshops and performances allow participants to explore the depths of this art form, while the conferences and screenings provide a broader view of its history and evolution.
