Flamenco Singing Workshop
The cantaor Enrique Bermúdez offers a flamenco singing workshop on 6 and 7 May. This workshop is designed to deepen your understanding of flamenco singing and to explore the traditional lyrics of this art form.
The content includes:
– Compás
– Traditional lyrics: lyrics for tangos and alegrías
– Structure for dance: How to accompany and structure the singing in relation to flamenco dance.
The workshop will take place over 2 days, with a total of 2 hours of training, accompanied by the guitarist of Jesules Losada.
Technical details
Enrique Bermudez “Piculabe”, a flamenco singer born in Madrid, he began his musical career in the choir of the Evangelical Church. Through a recording that made waves in flamenco communities, he met Juan José Suarez “Paquete,” recorded his first track, and signed with Universal Music.
He has collaborated with renowned international artists such as Jorge Pardo and Tomatito, and his discography includes “Camino y tiempo” (2008) and “Canta y sueña” (2012). Since 2012, he has been invited by the Antonio Gades company for various performances worldwide, appearing in prestigious venues like the National Theatre of Beijing and the Roman Theatre of Verona. In 2014, guitarist Juan Carmona invited him to join his international tour.
Jesules Losada, a flamenco guitarist born in Madrid began his career at 14 at the tablao Torrebermejas. He trained under David Lamar and collaborated with flamenco greats like singer José Mercé. His professional journey includes European tours with the opera Carmen, where he worked with renowned personalities like José Carreras.
In 2015, Jesules released his first solo album “Corre Chacho”, establishing himself as both a composer and soloist. He is currently preparing his second album, where his son, who performs at all his events, plays a prominent role.
